Sigh! You're missing the point. The way you posted suggested the English word was constructed from Latin parts instead of being derived from an already constructed Latin word.

There's a "diamond" star that is of 10 billion trillion trillion carats. A crystallized white dwarf. 

 

The cosmic diamond is a chunk of crystallised carbon, 4,000 km across, some 50 light-years from the Earth in the constellation Centaurus.
