Need Help Choosing New GPU

Ricklamperouge

I have around $600 for a new GPU and I don't know which one to choose, I was thinking to get an RTX 2070 Super, but I don't know which brand or if there is a better option for a similar price.
I'm currently using an RX 480 and my monitor is 1080p, but I want a card that can run smoothly 1440p and maybe a little bit of 4k because I'll probably be getting a new monitor soon enough. My case has a lot of space so getting a big card is no issue.
My specs are:
Ryzen 5 2600x
16GB DDR4 @3200 Mhz
Evga 750

Besides waiting and hoping for big Navi there is no other option. With 600$ you're able to afford a top of the line 2070super.

About the other cards: 2080 is maybe a bargain used but not really available anymore and 2070s is faster sometimes. ti is to expensive.

Idd go with a EVGA SC Ultra, ASUS strix (at some places it can be found for about 600) or maybe Zotac super amp.

Personally I will wait for AMDs big navi but I am a AMD fan :D. Nvidia wise idd go with Asus if under 600, else with EVGA. But thats personal taste and either of those performs relatively close to each other

FOLDING MONTH 2021! GOGOGO and save on some heating costs 🙂

Honestly? You could get a Used 2080 Super on Ebay right now for around 600$

Daaaaang! Well not in my country for this prices.

If getting used OP should still look for a nice cooler.

Can't say I understand the love for going used in this price range. I mean if you have $80 to spend and it's between buying a crap GT 1030 or a used RX 570 then I fully understand going with the used 570 that will actually give you a pretty good gaming experience vs the 1030 that's just going to suck and feel like you're playing an XBox 360 in 2020. But paying $600 for a used 2080 Super when it's only 14% faster at 1440p than a 2070 Super you could buy brand new for $500? That's lunacy to me. You don't know if maybe that 2080 Super is a card bought refurbished. Or a card that has been ridden really hard. Or a card with a defect that might make it fail before your have it for three years. If I'm spending that much I want a warranty, I want to know that card is going to provide me with three good years of gaming. If I buy a brand new 2070 Super I can be pretty confident in that.

Yeha I guess that is personal preference. I had a 2x290x CF for some time and both were used mining cards. Dirt cheap but fast.Ok and toasty and power hungry as hell :D

Had no failure. Used em 24/7 full thrust for F@H. Also my VII that I have now is also a used unit and also on 24/7 100% for about half of year now.

i'd wait, but if you can't wait, rtx 2060 new for 300usd, 5600xt for the same price~, any of the 2060S and higher cards need to be on sale to be in consideration.

recently saw a 2070S for 425usd.
