Kvm Switches?

wpirobotbuilder

I've been toying with the idea of running multiple computers off a single monitor, but am not sure about what makes a KVM switch good. Does anyone have thoughts on this?

Been using ATEN 4 port kvm switch for 3 years or more, the only cons I've encountered are:

- Doesn't work with all keyboards and mice (razer lycosa and copperhead didn't work), filco & razer abbysus works. This also applies to some of the Logitech keyboards

- Rarely, when switching between computers Windows forgets the resolution and defaults to 1280x1024. Happened both win7 and win8, no problems under Linux.

Please note, that I'm running quite an old model, it's been discontinued for a while now, these problems might not be relevant to whatever KVM you choose.
