Well, by saying IMHO you're just acknowledging that your opinion is just one piece of a conversation and not the final say.

Nah, humble in this context simply means that you don't hold your opinion above that of others.

Originally it was humble but then people started believing it meant honest, now it can mean either/both

When I say "IMHO" I mean to imply that my opinion is both founded on my current understanding only which can be changed if suitable evidence is presented and that I don't consider it more important than anyone else's opinion (assuming theirs is founded on similar experience relevance etc).  I use the term mainly to communicate that I don't have all the answers but would like to contribute what I understand.

That's a more modernized version of IMHO - and frankly, I think it fits much better than "humble" anyway.

Anytime I use IMHO, I'm saying "honest", not "humble".

TBH, in IMHO "H" stands for Honest. if i'm using H for Honest in TBH, i'm gonna use H for "In My Honest Opinion". when was the last time you used humble in a sentence? i don't even use the darn word.

Your opinion isn't exactly humble anymore once you've come out and openly called it humble.

Depends.  A non humble opinion is one that claims authority.  A humble opinion is one that does not claim authority.  The assumption being made is that an opinion by definition connotes authority.  This is a common attitude and why the phrase imho exists.  It defines something as personal opinion.  Something everyone has about everything.  There’s an old saying “opinions are like assholes.  Everyone’s got one and they all stink” imho acknowledges that and differentiates the statement from one that might be definitive.  It encourages the listener to consider the source.  The implication of the opposite is “how dare you state your opinion”.  I’m gonna reject that one.   Even having no opinion is an opinion of sorts.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Humble has a slightly different connotation depending on its use.

Calling oneself a paragon of humility would be a form of bragging.

Unironically stating that one's station in life is humble (low) is kinda like saying "just my two cents"

I typically read IMHO the second way. It's kinda like saying "I don't actually know that much about the subject but I'm throwing this out there for what it's worth".
