Dell XPS 15 power

A while back the plastic around the hinge of my Dell xps15 broke, I bought a replacement piece and installed it and everything seemed fine. But when I go to switch it on the power button only lights up when I hold it and the rest of the laptop doesn't switch on (I cant hear any fans working) I tried unplugging the battery and running git through just the charger but the same thing would happen. I left it to charge over night but nothing changed.

Speculations

 

1. There might be a wire that got cut

2. If the cpu is removeable, it might got moved when the heat popes were nudged.

3. Same thing might have happened to the gpu

4. The ssd/storage devices got moves

5. Ram got moved

6. There is a part that got broken aside from the hinge.

 

 

Solutions

Try to inspect for component damage

Try to check for heatpipe contact on the components. 

Im with the mentaility of "IF IM NOT SURE IF ITS ENOUGH COOLING, GO OVERKILL"

STORAGE         : Seagate Baracudda 1TB and Kingston SSD
PSU             : Thermaltake Lite power 550W (Gonna change soon as i dont trust this)
CASE            : Rakk Anyag Frost
CPU COOLER      : ID-Cooling SE 207
CASE FANS       : Mix of ID cooling fans, Corsair fans and Rakk Ounos (planned change to ID Cooling)
DISPLAY         : SpectrePro XTNS24 144hz Curved VA panel
MOUSE           : Logitech G603 Lightspeed
KEYBOARD        : Rakk Lam Ang

HEADSET         : Plantronics RIG 500HD

Kingston Hyper X Stinger

 

and a whole lot of LED everywhere(behind the monitor, behind the desk, behind the shelf of the PC mount and inside the case)
