Ryzen 5 2600x Vs Ryzen 7 2700

Having trouble deciding whether to go for the Ryzen 5 2600x or Ryzen 7 2700 any thoughts or experiences? Wanted for casual gaming if various games such as elder Scrolls, tomb raider, cod etc. This will be my first build so just looking entry level at this point but don't want to be forced to upgrade in a few months at the same time.

For gaming, 6 cores is plenty.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

for the same price, 2700.

but 3600 is much better.
