We got the Kick-Proof TV from China!

Have you tried wall-mounting the TV and then buidling a box around it with wooden studs, some drywall and a large piece of plexi as a window that is close to but not flush with the screen? If you decide to try this, I would recommend adding some ventilation holes on the bottom and the top in order to avoid a heat buildup in the enclosure (which is something the TV's capacitors won't like too much and they would potentially die much more quickly than usual).
The plexiglass will probably have some nasty reflections, but maybe you could put a transparent anti-reflective foil on top of it. Just make sure that foil doesn't block infrared, otherwise the remote will not work.  If the plexiglass is thick enough, I very much doubt it can be broken that easily and even if that were to happen, the TV would be at a safe distance (a few cm should be enough).

I hope everything works out for you and your son.

Hi greenhorn,

Thanks for the suggestion and kind words, I appreciate it! I actually have considered building an enclosure for the tv above the fireplace mantle using plexiglass. I have even considered recessing a tv inside of the wall. The problem comes down to cost. A sheet of plexiglass cut to the size I'd need would be about $200+ (I've called a few places near me). But at that price, it now becomes a case keeping my son from also destroying the plexiglass which would almost be the same price as a cheap tv lol. At the moment we're just using a small crappy tv until I can figure out a cost effective solution. After he destroyed our last one which had a 1/8" plexiglass protector that we paid about $180 for from Amazon, I realized that I'm going to need something much more robust! The problem with the plexiglass protector I purchased is that it seemed too hard which, I think, resulted in it being very brittle; hence why he was able to shatter it so easily. The tv in the review looked like it had some flex to it so it was able to absorb most of the impacts, so It seems like it could be a winner if I could get it for $400 like Linus stated in the video! The search continues though...

Where do you buy this TV? Why is there still no reviews or any other thing done to it? I want to see a Steel Toe boot kick that TV, I wanna see how it holds up to a steel toe. Because they either A) only thought about casual kicking or B) they thought about going the full 9 yards and tried it against a proper kick with a steel toed boot.

The previous link in the thread no longer works, but I believe I've found it on AliExpress here for anyone who needs it: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003445470545.html

It's currently listed as the "Amoi 55 Grid Good Quality Panel Kit Portable Sun Green Tv 4k led hd ready" and its model number is listed as G501C (although, I found no mention of G501C anywhere on the Internet other than that page).
