What is the worst thing you've ever crowd funded?

So as the title says, what is the best or worst thing you've ever crowd funded. Whether it was good on paper and bad upon release or maybe it was a great idea but never came to.

I'll start. I'm not even gonna give a name just a picture of it.

As an avid kickstarter fan, I can easily think of two:

First is the Stonetether. Turned out to be a huge con.

And 2nd is Canon Busters. Lesean Thomas made a lot of promises, took our money, sold it to netflix made millions and still hasnt given us shit. I lost a lot of respect for him and cannot support anything he does anymore.

Isn't this just a Tile type thing?

Pretty much. I backed that product in 2014, which was way before I heard of Tile. But that kickstarter is definitely why I use Tiles now.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. The worst one:

neva.jpg.70c08ac47e8797880fda615e69f26758.jpg

On the surface it's nice enough and was what I wanted, but after just two days, something went sideways in the print-head and now it just clogs every single time. Nothing I've tried has worked to fix it. There may be some piece of metal-chafing or something from poor manufacturing in there, clogging the heat-block, not sure.

The best thing I've back on Kickstarter:

up2.jpg.22b3d315c1c448fe4b906e664821dcad.jpg

Quad-core Pentium N4200, 4GB DDR4, 32GB eMMC, Intel's 802.11AC + Bluetooth 4.2 mPCI-e - card, a free mSATA/mPCI-e - slot, two gigabit Ethernet, four USB3.0 - ports, HDMI, DP, one SATA - port and so on, for 200€ back in 2016. Oh, and it's really rather small.

Was a really good buy back then and at the moment I'm using it as a pfSense - router.

Think it would make a good emulation machine?

I don't know how well it would handle emulating a Playstation 2, but for anything less than that, sure.

I've got my PC for that, I'm more less looking for something to put like N64, PS1, and below on for like a living room setup or something of that sort. Kind of like a Retro-Pi

I only donated money into 2 kickstarter type projects and got my money back on both. Im going to get a bunch of hate but this is just how I felt at the time. I put in money for both Star Citizen and Everquest Next. Both didnt seem like they were going anywhere fast so I got my money back on both.

I have never been able to bring myself o actually donating to a kickstarter.

Every single item that I have looked at as interesting I wait 6 months and read about how its either not coming out, not what was advertised, or just a straight up scam.

Ive some to learn that if a bank is not willing to fund a project....its probably for a reason lol.
