First time builder looking for help. (edited)

I am looking to build my own pc soon as i only have a laptop with an intel core i5-8300U(H?) and a gtx 1050 ti (mobile of course) and i want to be able to run vr. Would these parts be able to run smooth vr at high settings and would you recommend i make any changes? I only have a little bit of budget to move around so please keep it around the same price point.

Edit: part list should no longer be private. i don't know why it was marked as private.

I wouldn't really recommend that rx580. The MSI armor OC RX580 runs hot. Also that card can be had brand new for $140 from Amazon.

I'll recommend something like this instead....

Storage: TCSunBow X3 480 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($51.99 @ Amazon) SSD makes overall system way more snappier.
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon RX 580 8 GB PULSE Video Card  ($100.00) RX580 can be had for around $100 on AliExpress with free international shipping.

Is there an ssd with a bit more storage that you would recommend? Also i was thinking about a cooler master master box Q300L for the case would that be a bad choice?
