I am looking to build my own pc soon as i only have a laptop with an intel core i5-8300U(H?) and a gtx 1050 ti (mobile of course) and i want to be able to run vr. Would these parts be able to run smooth vr at high settings and would you recommend i make any changes? I only have a little bit of budget to move around so please keep it around the same price point.

550. cheaper and much better quality. even if non-modular. if you want semi-modular, get the corsair tx550m

Is there an ssd with a bit more storage that you would recommend? Also i was thinking about a cooler master master box Q300L for the case would that be a bad choice?

Yeah q300l is a pretty good case.

Can go for the 1tb varient of the SSD that I mentioned above.
