I overclocked my monitor to 70hz but games still shows 60 hz

you have to run the game on borderless if you want 70Hz on Rainbow Six Siege

So i tried to oveclock my monitor because i wanted to see if i could get better performance out of it. I managed to get 70hz and i'm fine with that, the problem is that when i look at the refresh rate option in games they'll show 60hz but the ufo test and the control panel says i'm running at 70hz. How do i fix it?

You have to change the refresh rate from Windows settings menu

Op has already posted a screenshot of them doing so ...

 

A12en , keep in mind that every software/game have their own way of naming things . The game screenshot you have posted 'might' be referring to the vsync refresh rate or any other god-knows-what..

 

best way to make sure is to enable vsync on nvidia cp and then run riva tuner statistics server with  fps display enabled on it.. This way vsync will lock to your displays refresh rate and provided you can hit that fps it will be capped at tha all times . I'm pretty confident that your games are actually running @70Hz as it is

 

the blur busters page you have posted clearly shows that you are running @70Hz
