AIO leak

GND

My first aio, have amd cpu so I had to swap out the existing Intel brackets that were already installed with the amd brackets.  The instructions made it seem like I had to loosen the copper plate to swap out the brackets.  Well when I did some fluid leaked out and I tightened those screws immediately.  Anyway  would it still be ok to use?  I checked to see if there are any leaks after I tightened the copper plate back down.  No leaks but I'm obviously new at this.....Corsair 115i 280mm

Usually these units use a rubber gasket. Only removing the plate once (not even all the way) won't ruin the seal.

As for the amount of liquid lost. If we're talking drops you're fine. If we're talking half a cup that would be very concerning.

Where on earth did you find that kind of info?? I had quick look at the manual and there is nothing suggesting to do it.

I would estimate a tablespoon ish(15-20ml)

I know there's not a substantial amount of liquid in these units but it may be fine if the air stays in the radiator. Pump may be noisy if it re-circulates the air.

You can try running it if replacement isn't an option. You don't have much to lose.

Thanks, I'll read the instructions more carefully next time, not to mention I know just not to touch anything.  ?. Learning...

Let me re-phrase, not blaming Corsair at all, just my lack of properly reading the manual; my manual is slightly different though.  The brackets are located between 2 rubber pieces, the copper plate on top with screws.  It says in my instruction manual to not loosen the copper plate to help get the brackets out (paraphrasing).  Well I didn't see the not word, although losing the plate helped.  I was afraid of pulling too hard and fucking something up.  Just one of those dumb ass moments I suppose...?but I learned nonetheless.  Thanks
