Guy in audience: Do these chips support USB 3.0?

What the HELL kind of question is that?

My god, what a waste

Well, at least I might bet better battery out of my next laptop, it's all up to the real life benchmarks now

Specs are nice' date=' but I'd like to see them in action, or at least see them physically At least they're using 28nm and the power consumption seems to be low[/quote']

Yeah it would have been nice if they showed them in the presentation.

@TechFan@ic

I do Follow Amd... :)

What I meant was that the HD8xxx and Steamroller weren't mentioned at the press conference... :)

I saw the 8xxx news. :)

Any how, HD8000 series to be released late this month. That is kind of a false positive TechFan@ic. You should follow just a little closer before getting everyone's hopes up. Yes you are right on one thing They will be releasing the 8000 series at the end of this month but what you didn't see is that at the end of this month there will only be AMD Graphics for OEM PCs. what that means is like for an example you buy a already PC form Bestbuy and in those rigs they will only include the 8350,8450,8470,8570, and the 8670 all OEM not retail. here is the URL from AMD website http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/oem-solutions/Pages/desktop.aspx#3 and here is Wikipedia on sea Islands http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_Islands_%28GPU_family%29 From what I see we will not see The big Dog 8000 series such as the 8950, and the 8970 tell the Q2 witch will be in April or June of this year
