Hello y'all, I recently build a pc and I am wondering how much I could ask for it when I try to sell it
All new products, Nothing is bought used

Well, if everything is new and with valid warranty, you can ask 70-80% of the full price (but of the cheapest sellers!) for each part.

If the warranty isn't transferable or valid, you have to lower the price more.

Depends on your country, search out the current prices and see how much it would cost to buy it all new now, and then factoring wear and tear use over the last 18 months or so... You'd be taking the piss if you asked more than 50-60%.

 

Some times you'll get a little better prices parting it out.. but selling a whole system complete is worth anything more.

 

edit:  Before any one suggests that asking more is acceptable because they're 'allegedly' new parts...  It's irrelevant. You are 'NOT' buying from a retailer you are buying second hand parts from a private seller and get 'none' of the consumer protections that come with buying 'new' parts. That alone means that any 'new' side of the argument is moot... I couldn't care less if it's still got factory seals in place... these can be faked and there are no guarantees that what you are getting is actually new.

Better selling it as parts, or just sell the cpu, gpu and motherboard, everything else can be use in a new system.

I've added in RAM 2*8GB sticks at 3000 speed as you didn't list any in your list, but you can essentially get the same stuff brand new for the above price (I put equivalents down for a couple of things as you weren't specific on the actual GPU, and I've never heard of that brand of SSD, and added some RAM). Assuming you are in the US, you might (and personally I'd be offering less if I was thinking of buying 2nd hand hardware) be able to get around USD500.00 if you are lucky, or get someone who doesn't know the value of the components.

You're asking on a forum full of people that build things themselves. With 4th gen Ryzen coming out, I wouldn't spend more than $300 max for a soon to be 2 gen old platform.

 

Most people who would buy a system already built would rather pick one up from a Best Buy. As another poster suggested, you'd have better luck parting out. The moment you opened the packaging, that dropped a lot of value.

im going to look at this from a different perspective and that you are maybe selling to someone who doesnt build pcs and who usually buy OEM computers

this is around your specs except the 1660 is slightly faster than the rx580 so maybe 50 dollars off because of that so like 764$

im also assuming that you meant that you didnt use it that much and everything is pretty much brand new. if not and you did use it then maybe its like 500$ at most

From a buyers perspective, this is a used PC for all intents and purposes.

If you can provide parts boxes and warranty info, great!

But the better question is "what is my local market going to pay for this?"

The answer is likely around $400-450.
