I have a t3600 dell tower with a  e5 2640 processor there is 32 gb of ram but it is not ddr4 so could I take it and put ddr4.Or should I upgrade  the processor.my graphics card fine

That processor and motherboard only supports DDR3 RAM

If 32gb isn't enough for you that system should support very high RAM capacities and ECC

you cant put ddr4 ram if your motherboard and or cpu doesnt support ddr4

You can't install DDR4 in a DDR3 slot/system, you need to upgrade to a whole new generation that supports DDR4 which means the motherboard would be replaced as well.
