Any way to connect my camera to my Laptop?

FockeSterben

Hello.

For a long time (and still) it has been a pain in the back to get video live footage to my computer.
Now I got myself a new Laptop Dell Inspiron 15 (5593)

It has HMDI and USB Type C Gen 1 connections but are any of them capable of supporting video input or are there any devices that would allow for conversion?
We did once use Apple laptop USB-C to get footage to the computer through by using m-HDMI to Blackmagic Video Converter to Thunderbolt-USBC switcher to Apple macbook. Would this configuration still work on my system?

You want a capture adapter indeed, many options out there since people use those for streaming games.

That is unless you can just use a webcam.
