Stream blurry when I start moving in game

Tyrii

Hi there!

Stream's fine and everything until I start moving in PUBG then it gets quite blurry. Not sure to understand because I have a pretty good PC and good internet (22 upload et 200 down). I'm at 6000 bitrate since it's the maximum twitch allows.I also streamed before with my new CPU and everything was fine but now it looks like poop :(

Thanks and have a wonderful day

Specs:

Ryzen 7 3700X

16GB ram

OBS setting:

60 fps

Encoder: NVENC.H.264(new)

6000 bitrate

Rate control: CBR

Preset: Quality

Profil: high

Resolution: 1920x1080p

Downscale filter: Lanczos

Which preset do you use? Try slower ones like "fast" or "medium".

Also dropping FPS and resolution could help.

And one more question: which encoder do you use? x264 or NVENC?

I use high. What's weird is I can definitly stream at 1920p and 60 fps because I did it before and it was fine =/

... Go to advanced settings. You can get less blocks from any movement with even less bitrate than OBS tries to do on "Quality" preset...

Basically do this:

Try these settings, it should look quite a bit better than what you have right now.

Video tab:

60FPS

Base res - Your monitors max res

Output res - 720p

Downscale filter: Bicubic

Output tab:

Encoder - CPU x264

Enforce stream settings - OFF

Resolution ReScale - OFF

Rate Control - CBR

Bitrate - 6000 (you can actually go up to 8000 for a lot higher quality)

Keyframe Interval - 2

CPU Preset - Slow (better quality, lower performance) or Medium (slightly worse quality but better performance)

Profile - High

Tune - none

Custom x264 settings: rc-lookahead=60 trellis=1 direct-pred=spatial

Despite this being 720p it will look a lot better than 1080p because 6000bitrate is simply not enough for 1080p60.

Feel free to try these settings with 1080p but it will likely cause your in-game FPS to drop by a decent chunk.
