How do I run G-synch on a non G-synch monitor?

GamerBlake

Before you roll your eyes and call me stupid..

Yes I know it’s not supported.

BUT according to Tom’s Hardware it is able to run G-synch.

It says so right here.

But how do I enable it? ?

you can't find where to enable it or you don't have that option available in the nvidia control panel?

Do you have the latest drivers installed?

GPU drivers giving you a hard time? Try this! (DDU)

I can’t find where to enable it.

Is it in the control panel?

Also, why doesn’t it say it’s G-sync compatible if Tom’s Hardware says it is?

Is it one of those things where it’s down to the silicon lottery and some of these model monitors can do it and others can’t? ?

open the nvidia control panel

then look under display options

it should be there somewhere

just make sure you have the latest driver installed and the option should be there

regarding Tom's Hardware I don't know how old the article is, but "G-sync compatible" wasn't a thing a couple of months ago

Oh ok thanks! ?

I must be dumb because I was checking the settings on the monitor (since the Freesync option was there) and then in the in game graphics settings. ?‍♂️

I assumed since vertical sync was there that gsync would be there too. ?

Yup! Much appreciated! ?

Not bad for a $359 monitor.

I thought I was sacrificing G-sync to save some money but it turns out I got everything I wanted. ?
