I would have to say my HIS HD3850 AGP card, It was and still is the champ of AGP cards to date, but no longer is it available to buy LOL unless you want to buy it on Ebay, which every one of them I have found is going for $499 and up.When the card came out, $499 is what I paid for it LMAO, I would never pay that much for it today :D, in away I'm happy because tech has came a long way since then :D but I still have the card in one of the meany boxes I have in my closet.

I don't have it now, but the one component that really made me sat up and really pay attention to graphics was when I'd gotten a brand new, then, Club3D 9700Pro 128MB. It was a beastly card then, made NV try too hard.....came out with the leafblower FX5800Ultra IIRC.....anyone remember that? I recall having a DFI Lanparty mobo + AMD A64 3400+ Clawhammer (this CPU stomped all over Intel's P4 EE CPU at higher clockspeed). Man, AMD had the crown with the A64's back then.....

I do still have an old system, will take pics as proof:

AMD AXP 2800+ Barton

Abit NF7

2GB KVR DDR400

AGP HD3650 (can't recall the brand though)

Gigabyte 420W PSU

32bit WinXP Pro

I have it in my store room somewhere, it's housed in a cheap Gigabyte case......IIRC. Before the HD3650, I believe I had a 9600Pro, and before that, a 9800Pro......the 9700Pro wasn't my first gaming grade GPU, an Abit 4200 Ti has that honor, but it was the card that started me on this never ending road to gaming with max or near max setting.

I have a Geforce 6800 Ultra.  It was my first build and the only time I have ever owned the top dog current generation GPU.  I still have it and it still works.  Great card.

Does the intellimouse count? If so the MX518 too as they don't actually make them any more...

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

Does an Amiga 500 count? That was my first computer, lol. I got it when I was 17, and it was quite the upgrade from my parents C64. Had a lot of fun with that one!!!!

i cant even remember the chip sets back in the day when i first started building computers, but a cd drive was a luxary back then and still used floppy drives, single core proccessors, 133mhz ram, all the old crap, and even Amstrad, Amiga and commodore 64, geees at school in IT class it was the old old large type floppy ( i think 5") and cassette tapes for games in some of the old stuff.

Old cream coloured cases and monitors, heavy tube monitors,

my first computer i build from components was in 1998.

not sure if i have pics, i do have some old pics from like 5 or 6 years ago.

got to love Asus components
