How can I get a case with specific components installed?

I’m considering moving my PC to a new case, but I need a new motherboard and CPU.  Is it possible to purchase a case with the MB and CPU pre-installed?

 

I was looking at the customizing options at Origin PC and I couldn’t find anything that would allow this.

I dont believe anyone offers that partial level of build as far as SI's go but I bet if you just went into a Microcenter or similar you could buy one and have them mount the cpu and motherboard. I know up in Canada I could do that at Memory Express stores

Memory Express in Canada does it, for too much money. Is there a reason you can't do it yourself?

Just get a full custom build PC, you can request any specific parts as you wish.

If you are replacing the case, motherboard, and cpu are you reusing the existing cpu cooler and memory? If so are they compatible? Do you intend to install those components yourself, along with the gpu and storage?

Yes, I'm planning to reuse those components because I upgraded them all within the last month.  These were my first times personally upgrading anything in a PC, and now I feel very confident installing these components.  However, I have not installed a motherboard or CPU, and those seem a bit more involved.  I'm afraid of making a critical mistake.

 

I suppose I would do some research to make sure everything is compatible before purchasing a new motherboard and CPU.  Though I would think it's quite likely that if all components were released within the last year, they'll be compatible.

Honestly installing a cpu is as simple as setting it in the socket and pushing down the lever, not rocket science and installing a mobo in a case is just sliding it in and putting in the screws, also easy. Not to mention its generally easier to install the cooler before putting the board in the case and depending on the case it might be easier to run some of the cabling before installing the the motherboard in the case. Much better to just start from square one and do it all. Its really actually quite simple as long as you take your time and use your head

No. Use a tool like pcpartpicker.com for basic compatibility. Then ask here for finer checking.

 

Lots of decent build videos. Study a few of them especially as concerns motherboard and cpu installation. Many case manufacturers have videos which can be useful. When picking others keep in mind that AMD and Intel cpu install differently.

 

While cpu are delicate and one must be careful with installation, the process is not difficult. Most important is knowing how to handle the chip. (Only touch the sides. Never touch the surface / pins that come in contact with the motherboard socket.) Installation consists of correctly orienting the chip with the socket as marked then dropping it in and latching the retention mechanism.

I don't think it would be wise to do so either way.

Getting the 3 components and installing them is incredibly easy. (6ish phillips head screws for the MOBO standoffs, and a CPU install is all you're talking about work-wise.)
