troubles with bluetooth help

my pc's buetooth is off and there is no switch on the settings menu to turn it on. i went to device manager to update drivers or check if it recognizes the bluetooth adapter and there seems to be no trace of it, when i actually have a bluetooth card installed please help.

If you are on a notebook, there might be a FN + some function key, to enable the bluetooth radio?

If it is 3rd party, you might need a driver for it, which can be downloaded at the manufacturers website.

its worked fine for 2 years now all of a sudden it just stopped

Must be a driver issue then.

Curious. I assume you have no unidentified or troubled devices in device manager?

If it is built into the mobo, maybe a setting in the BIOS have changed itself. Have you checked?

there was an unrecognized usb device

Try installing the latest one for bluetooth. Maybe try the Chipset driver too.
