Mini-speakers for Gaming Monitor/PC/PS4

Baschti

Hey Guys,

i hope u are fine and had a good start in the new year!

I have an high end gaming pc with a mini itx, built in 2019. Also in my gaming area is a PS4. In addition to this conole/pc i have a gaming monitor from AOC. This one is without speakers.

In my dreams and in my world i buy a 7.1 speaker system and equip the whole room with it. But there is an objection from my wife, who has completely different ideas: The gaming corner is big enough and the speakers should be as small as possible ? ...
Could you help me with a tip or a concrete product recommendation? Budget is secondary "for now".

Thanks in advance and best regards

Baschti

I’ve had two pairs of Logitech speakers and they have both been great. I’m assuming your wife won’t be down for a giant subwoofer so I would go with something like the Logitech MX Sound.

Get your wife a pair of Hello Kitty headphones and a pair of proper open-backs for yourself.

Wish someone would sell these: https://www.visaton.de/index.php/en/products/3-way-speakers/vox-80

Tiny speakers designed for such occasions. Or you know...if your wife can handle some DIY saw-glue-hammering-painting you could make these yourself.

Honestly... I'd say it depends on what your budget is first. I'd always recommend a separate audio amp plus some decent speakers to go with it.

Smallest I can recommend is probably two of the Cambridge audio minx min 22, plus their Cambridge audio one pre-amp to go with them. Still got to buy different pieces rather than a whole system at once but I'm sure it'll do you better for upgrade-ability and quality.

My Rig:

Xeon E5 1680 V2 @ 4.5GHz - Asus Rampage IV Extreme X79 Mobo - 64GB DDR3 1600MHz - 8 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance Low Profile - CAS 10-10-10-27 - AMD Radeon RX 6700XT Sapphire Pulse 12GB - DeepCool E-Shield E-ATX Tempered Glass Case - 1 x 1TB Crucial P1 NVMe SSD - BeQuiet Straight Power 11 850W Gold+ Quad rail - Fractal Design Celsius S36 & 6 x 120mm silent fans - Lenovo KBBH21 - Corsair Glaive RGB Pro - Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit

Monitors - 3 x Acer Nitro 23.8" 1080p 75Hz IPS 1ms Freesync Panels = AMD Eyefinity @ 75Hz

Can i use the Minix 12 as stand alone? Only with a 3,5 mm on monitor/pc/ps4? How it is compared with the logitech MX Sound? Any experiences?

ait Seems like he is getting into audiophile speakers, which are great but start to get expensive. Your local best it should have the Logitech speakers (possibly on display) if you want to check out their sound. Hardware kanucks Also gave the Mx sound a positive review.
