are my speakers broken?

So ive been trying to fix this all day and i dont know what it could be. This is a brand new monitor so it shouldnt be broken. Basically, i cant get audio to come from it no matter what, ive installed all the drivers up to date, but nothing. My headset works perfectly fine. When i set my LG FULL HD as default audio device no sound comes from it. What is the problem? is it the “Output not plugged in?” If thats the case. What does that cable even look like? im sure i have it. Does my monitor like not come with speakers or something?

Maybe the monitor has its own volume and/or mute in the onscreen menu?

What cable are you using for display connection?
