Build Upgrade-Need input and suggestions

Firstly, here is my current build. Note the GPU cost more around 300 when I bought it back in February of last year. Also didn't buy windows for 100 dollars.

Secondly, here are 2 upgrades I am looking at:

ASUS ROG STRIX 2060 SUPER (I know the that the 5700 is slightly better, but I want an Nvidia GPU)

G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3200

Any thoughts on these parts?

And lastly, I was wondering if it would be worth to wait until Nvidia's 3000 GPU series launch around June, or would I need a CPU and motherboard upgrade to prevent bottlenecks? And would the equivalent card (3060) even release at launch, or just the 3080?

1. Premium RGB stuff, worsens value

2. The PSU should go first, it's awful

We dont have Nvidia 3000 leaks of any type yet, so I doubt it will come in June. I wont wait for the.

As @Jurrunio said, first upgrade the PSU - ketchup and mustard cables look awful and it's only 80PLUS, not even bronze. So PSU is most important to upgrade. In your budget buying RGB parts is not worth it (it's never worth it lol) but you do you. For GPU you can go with Gigabyte's Windforce OC (nvm, it's a 2fan, go with Gaming OC) [it's 50$ cheaper than Strix] or Gaming OC (if you want RGB logo). And you can choose some cheaper RAM, if you don't need RGB you can go with this one - it's $63.99 now and it's 3200 16-18-18 , if you want RGB you can try this one, but I don't really know anything about it, it's $69.99, RGB, Hynix die. Tho I recommend you ask somebody else about that v-color RAM, I don't really know anything about them. And the money you save on RAM you can put into something else, e.g. better PSU.

What kind of wattage for PSU? What rating?

go here:

Considering your are in the budget tier, i'd say anything is the B+ or B Tier is good and around 550 to 600 Bronze will give you a nice margin for the near future.

An NVME drive would give you some bang for the bucks. you can get a 250gb for under 50 Usd.
As far as your graphic card is concerned, I like EVGA (terrible power supplies but great graphics card). The entry level RTX 2060 super should drive your screen with issues.

Is going just to 550w bronze enough for the near future? Or should I get a gold 550w or I get a bronze 600w/650w?

Yeah, 550w is pretty much fine even for a 9900k + 2080ti. You can upgrade it to a tier A/B+ unit if needed.

I didnt say it's noi good for now, I'm saying 9900k + 2080ti on 550w is too optimistic.
