Why would you AIO that old CPU?  For kicks, going retro?

 

Any AIO that fits the chipset works great I would imagine, get a 240mm or better.

I am looking for a modern AIO watercooler for a CoolerMaster HAF X.  Linus, or anyone, any sugestions?? My motherboard is an Asus ROG CrossHair V formula Z with a AMD FX-3850.  Thank You.

No, CPU has life left in it.  Going to drag it out till the price comes down on a Asus Croshair VIII Formula. Then I'll upgrade the CPU and MB.  But the case I love.  Not ready to give that up yet.  Thanks for the suggestion.  But who would sell those.  All I've seen are 120mm maybe 140mm.  Too small for the 200mm at the top of the case. Can't afford to waste money.

iirc there were support bars which allowed a 360mm rad to fit in the top of the case while keeping the 200mm fans where they were. Not an LTT vid unfortunately but this is what it looks like.

I had the HAF X until a few weeks ago. 

 

It has screw holes for a 240mm radiator but you can (and I did) mount a 360mm AIO up there, but the front most 120mm won't have support so technically it will sag slightly. 

 

You can keep the 200mm fans above it but supposedly that actually hurts the cooling performance compared to just leaving them out entirely.
