Noctua RMA issue

Algebruh

How long do you have to wait for the replacement to arrive at the provided address?

It's been a month (22 business days) since Noctua emailed me that they will send me replacements, but I still haven't received them.

I know that it might take longer to arrive because of where I live.

However, it is kinda weird that it took so long since Noctua told me those replacements are dispatched from the country where I live in.

Aug 26, 2020 update:

In the end, it took two months for the replacement to arrive. (It was in 2019)

Now another A12x25 is producing clicking noise AGAIN, so I filed another RMA request thru Email.

The customer support told me they will send me a replacement once I broke off one of the fan blades and took a picture. (Which is weird, because last time they told me to broke off the fan blade AFTER I received replacements.)

Now they went radio silence again. (It's been two weeks since I sent the photo.)

Edit : At this point, I am not really care about the fan. I'm just wondering how long this will take to get resolved.

Aug 27, 2020

Finally received an Email from Noctua.

The replacement shipment will be arranged tomorrow.

Sept 1, 2020

A replacement fan has arrived, so do some posters, a case badge, and some 140mm fan clips for D15 (wat?). Now I have tons of fan clips and posters lying around😂

Noctua sent other stuffs probably because they replied the wrong Email, so they sent those stuffs again. (Prior to the RMA request, I asked them if I can get some extra D15 fan clips. I received them few days later.)

The process is faster than last time, so there is that.

Anyways, I hope I don't have to RMA any fan in the future.

Better email again and ask if they have shipped things. Actual shipping times depend on multiple things. Like what courier they use, if they use more local warehouse or ship from HQ in Austria. If they use cheapest method (postal) and ship from Austria, it will take 3-6 weeks. Or even longer. I've had shipments from China taking 10 weeks.

Out of curiosity do you have a rough idea on how much run time those fans had before they started to click?

Total three out of seven fans failed.

Two failed in 4 month. Mostly running at 1600rpm, 2~4hr per day.

Last one failed in 6 months.

Other 3 fans are fine since purchased. (About 14 months ago)

Kinda disappointing to be honest.

Bummer dude, sorry to hear that. Hopefully your ticket gets resolved soon 👍🏻

I only read about these once in awhile, normally it’s the lower end fans that I read about. One of the fans on my D14 ticked, wasn’t impressed either.
