Trying To Find Games At Discounted Prices Here In The U.S.A. Looking For Recommendations/Suggestions!

Kjennings92

Well, the title pretty much says it all. But I will provide the additional details needed.

I'm basically trying to find some sort of site --(based here in the USA)-- where I can buy the games for pc I want at discounted prices no scams or strings attached, etc. I'm trying to avoid dealing with foreign sites/retailers for obvious reasons unless I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO. In case anyone needs/wants to know, the games for pc I wish to buy include: Doom, Doom Eternal, Overwatch, & Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2. It would work best if I can find a site that has all these games at discounted prices. But if I have to go with more than 1 site due to availability, I'm fine with that. Just make sure they are based here in the USA!

I'm looking forward to your suggestions, advice & recommendations! If you need any other details or need to ask me anything else, feel free to do so & I'll get back with you!

Thanks to anyone who might be able to help! :)

Those are all older games that run on multiple platforms.  What platform?  You say “sites”. Are you looking for physical media or downloads? “Strings” implies physical media, but it’s not clear.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Sorry about that. I meant to say that I prefer downloads & I specifically said earlier that it will be for PC. Hope this helps so you can help me! :)

GoG Might be worth a look.  I don’t know who owns them though.  Steam would be another but I’m assuming that has already been knocked down.  Epic is not US based, but they’re hungry.  EA at least used to have its own download service.  I could never make either EA or GoG it work so I know little about them.

individual publishers of games frequently have their own services for just the games they make.  That’s not just one site though.

https://store.steampowered.com/ - thousands of games, sales every season (i.e. winter, summer), special events (i.e. The Game Awards)

Just add games to your wishlist and you'll get notified when they go on sale

www.humblebundle.com/store - buy games, support charities

https://www.gog.com/

https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/ - free games every week

www.isthereanydeal.com - look for current deals and compare past discounts

As for overwatch, you'll only find it on blizzard's store, game retailers like gamestop, and maybe on a special humble bundle for free or a few dollars.

Keep in mind though, they're making overwatch 2 right now.

You just missed Doom for $4.44 at GameBillet. Should hit around that price their soon. They're completely legit just so you know. If you don't mind paying $5.00 to $6.00, just buy it from Fanatical, GreenManGaming, Steam or Humble here soon during the Christmas sales.

Overwatch hits $14.99 at least once a month at Blizzard. PvZ GW2 hits around $4.00 to $5.00 on Origin but it's not as frequent. Last time it hit those prices were in June, August and September. Just be on the lookout for it on Origin as it's not going to hit that price anywhere else.

Doom Eternal is a fairly new game so your best bet for it is to simply wait for a price drop after its March 20, 2020 release. Usually takes 3-6 weeks so April should be the earliest to even think about buying it. By May, you should be able to snag it for half price.

Other than the sites I mentioned, free games are given out all the time so be sure to be on the lookout for them at the Epic Games store, Humble and GOG mostly. You can find decent low priced deals at GMG and Fanatical as well as historic low prices but it's almost always random and less frequent.

Please check your 'facts' before posting.

EPIC is based in US, although majority of funding comes from Tencent (China).

On subject:

one site to rule them all: https://gg.deals/ (although https://isthereanydeal.com/ - or my local https://lowcygier.pl/ - help a lot as well ;)).

Pretty much every store has their Holiday Sales going on right now. Steam, Origin, Blizzard, Epic, HumbleBundle. I would say GOG, but they aren't US, they are Polish. And still beat almost every other site on the list.
