honestly that other cooling tower with an additional fan could have made all the difference. we are talking a few degrees here. Wonder if they did that to have a comparison with Noctua but still make the Ice Giant look better...?

There isn't a two tower version for ThreadRipper

Why you were comparing it with non-TR AIO then ?

We didn't have a TR AIO in the office.  We had a Enermax one but the pump died.

How convenient :) Seriously, don't write "Water Cooling is DEAD" in the title when you didn't compare this product with appropriate AIO, it's no secret than AIOs designed for desktop-sized IHS are of no use for TR.

PS: Don't buy Enermax Liqtech TR4 AIOs, people, it'll fail 100%. Some manufacturing issue on entire first batch. Might be fixed on newer units but still not enough data.

Well we used the EK water loop that will outperform any regular AIO.

My apologies, didn't click through that far. How about acoustic data ?

So it only works in one standing tower orientation or laying horizontal? I hope they make a lower TDP single 120 or 140 version of those, I like the concept. I hope to see one ripped open by GN Steve with a GN screw driver over a Mod Mat at some point!

Not surprising that something with more surface area than a 360mm rad and more powerful fans will outperform it.

On top of that it doesn't have the benefit of watercooling that you can place the radiator wherever you want.

I want to see a noise equalized comparison. Putting Delta fans to normal sub-2000 rpm fans isn't a fair test.

That was my first reaction. Shocked-ass Linus on the thumbnail, clickbait title, "buy this here now" in the description. I can't stand these types of 'reviews', waiting for GN or some written review too, looks interesting nonetheless.

TEC again?

Nah, by the description on their site it's smth like long-ass vapor-chamber thingy. I was wondering why cooler manufacturers don't make vapor chambers anymore, might be too expensive, looks like they've managed to make it somewhat cheap and still effective.

I'm afraid Linus has to eat his word when the production model arrives. The cooler may actually be good. But the video title is setting the bar too high claiming watercooling is dead.
