Regarding thermals, the CPU idles at ~27ºC. After about an hour of gaming, the max CPU temperature recorded was 62ºC with the GPU at ~65ºC. This is with all fans set to the silent profile. After multiple back-to-back Cinebench R20 runs, the CPU hit ~65ºC. I'm really impressed with how quiet the system is, even under load.

I haven't overclocked anything yet and PBO is still set to Auto, which is the default. I enabled XMP to allow the RAM to run at 3600 MHz.

What PSU are you using? Looks like some fine work, the framing of the picture does it justice.

The H510 Elite case comes with an LED strip. As for ambient room temperature, I honestly don't know and don't have a way to measure it. It's winter right now so quite cool but the radiators are often on so it kind of balances out. Without being able to give a definitive number, I can say that it's neither really cold nor really warm; it's neutral enough to be comfortable. Maybe ~20ºC if I had to guess.

I took the photo with a Fujifilm X-T3 (with 35mm f/2). It was on a tripod and I edited it a little in Capture One before sharing.

Thank you! Yeah, me too! The first thing I did when the system was up and running was make all the lights white. ?

  • 3 months later...

Hey,

I have almost the same type of build and was wondering, since you used the stock rgb fans on the front with the krakon radiator, did you hook them directly up to the kraken controls or just leave them running all the time as basic chasis fans attached to the radiator. I was dismayed to see that I couldn't fit the same cooler into my h510 elite on the top and had to sacrifice the front fans to become radiator fans but am having trouble understanding how to make them run as cooler fans instead of chasis fans. Anyways, your build looks awesome and hopefully my similar build can get up and running soon.
