Are My PC Have Enough Specs To Run VM?

Hi,

I have a PC that has these specs:
- Intel Core i5-8250U processor
- 256 GB SSD
- Nvidia Geforce MX250
- 4 GB DDR4 RAM

Can I run Windows 10 on a VM, on this PC? Will it work fine? I just want somebody to say their opinions about this.

Thanks.

Yes, it will run a Windows 10 VM, but not very well at all because you have a very low amount of RAM. You will only be able to give the VM 2GB RAM since you need some left over for your host. If you are doing very lightweight things on both your host and your VM then it will be fine, but I highly recommend upgrading the amount of RAM in your computer.

Workstation:

Intel Core i7 6700K | AMD Radeon R9 390X | 16 GB RAM

Mobile Workstation:

MacBook Pro 15" (2017) | Intel Core i7 7820HQ | AMD Radeon Pro 560 | 16 GB RAM
