How to check DP Cable version?

Hey guys, I just got a LG 34GK950F, which is capable at running at 144hz. I have DP 1.4 selected in the OSD. But it’s stuck at 120hz? There’s nothing on my cable that directly says what version of DP it is. How can I confirm my issue and get this puppy running at 144hz?

There is no Displayport cable versioning. A DP cable is a DP cable.

The only exception are RBR cables, which support up to 1080p.

 

Are you using the included cable though? In the past I have had poorer quality DP cables which couldn't do over 100Hz.
