Gpu usage 1% Cpu 100%

Merw

Hi everybody
i've had problems with my cpu running higher % than my gpu in every game i play, since the day i got the pc, which is a little over a year ago. I didnt think much of it, but i tried to fix it by just watching some youtube videos.

i recently dowloaded the newest Nvidia drivers, and downloaded the new COD modern warfare game. When i went to play, i could see my in game perfomance was a bit more buggy than usual, so i decided just to check my gpu performance in the task manager, and now my gpu was only running 1%, ive tried for a week to fix this problem, and i personally dont think i need to upgrade my CPU, since its fine and i also spoke with a tech guy, and he agreed. Pls help, it would be very appreciated.
PC specs:

GTX 1060 6gb

intel i5-7400

8 gb ram ddr4 2400 mhz

500 watt PSU

its a pre built:

Gpu isn’t running at 1%.

You need a better program to see that if Windows is bugged.

Need to watch per core for cpu usage.

One core gets hit harder depending on the graphics but it’s quite possible to have that cpu usage in that game.

Main RIg Corsair Air 540, I7 9900k, ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero, G.Skill Ripjaws 3600 32GB, 3090FE, EVGA 1000G5, Acer Nitro XZ3 2560 x 1440@240hz

Spare RIg Lian Li O11 AIR MINI, I7 4790K, Asus Maximus VI Extreme, G.Skill Ares 2400 32Gb, EVGA 1080ti, 1080sc 1070sc & 1060 SSC, EVGA 850GA, Acer KG251Q 1920x1080@240hz

for future reference don't buy prebuilds from elgiganten they're insanely overpriced

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.

Could be bloatware,a screenshot of the running processes in task manager is needed.

Anything. Game wouldn’t be running odd at 1% it would be a slideshow. My pc’s do the same thing but there’s no way I’d be getting 180 frames in cod if so.

Then it isn’t running that low. Isn’t a game issue.

The problem is a weak cpu and lack of ram.

I would like to see all of the processes,it does seem like an issue of bloatware.

The GPU usage is normal when you alt-tab.

As long as the RAM is not at 100% usage it's OK,at 100% it causes stutters and some long delays in loading of the world.

The CPU is not that weak, since 20% of the CPU usage doesn't come from the game.

The Nvidia drivers come with a lot of bloatware,

You can take a screenshot while you are not in the game.

Windows for some reason does not count the GPU usage in COD. That doesn't mean the GPU isn't used, just that Windows is buggy and not showing it. Which is why people told you to use another program to watch GPU usage.

COD is super heavy on the CPU, so that's why it's at 100%.

The thing is that the game uses 80% and not 100%,the rest is used by bloatware.
