rgb that syncs with temp of system?

dose anyone know if this is a thing? like make it blue while the gpu is under 60/c and gets more red as it heats up

I'm sure it is possible but has someone made the software for it IDK.

theoretically the software should be easy but given the pain it is to get sensor data it may not be that easy.

A lot of CPU coolers from corsair or NZXT can do this.

What are your specs, what software do you use?

I have a Corsaire keyboard with the Icue software that have the option you are looking for, setting the keys of your choice to change color according to the temperature of the GPU/CPU.

Aura Sync allows you to configure colors according to temperature. Although it doesn't specify which temperature.

Corsair lighting allows for vast temperature bases lighting.

My EVGA videocard can do this too.

Although I couldn't find the option to define the ranges myself.

 

So that, plus all the implementations shown above show it depends on what you have if it's possible.

If you want a fun little project you could attempt to make this using an Arduino and some lighting strips too.

 

Just gotta read out the temps and send them to the Arduino, who then will convert those temps in RGB values for the LED strips

my msi motherboard does this but i think the implementation sucks. The gpu is the hottest component but it goes off CPU temp. it goes solid green to solid blue to solid red. It doesnt transition smoothly and that is prob the biggest reason it sucks.

To be fair to msi, the motherboard doesn't actually have information about the temperature of your GPU, so it would need to be told that externally which means that it needs to talk to all different GPUs now and in the future which would be a hassle to maintain.

But yeah I'm not using it either because it's not really interesting in this way.
