Is this drive dead?

Creed1

I recieved a friend's computer who wanted it to be formatted as it was running a bit sluggish. Windows took about 5 minutes to boot and it is unbearably slow. I ran crystaldiskinfo and the following was reported:20191208_120703.thumb.jpg.67167b44fb414365329fc68c2f170ddb.jpg

So should this drive be replaced?

Considering it has under 1000 power-on hours and already has sectors that are problematic I wouldn't advise using this drive for any important data.

While it doesn't mean it will definitely die, you never know; better to be safe than sorry.

Not only should it be replaced, it needs to have at least two backups, one of which is kept offsite. You will not always get a warning of impending failure.

As long as anyone is oppressed, no one will be safe and free.

One has to be proactive, not reactive, to ensure the safety of one's data so backup your data! And RAID is NOT a backup!
