Creating a Youtube Channel

Hi,

 

I'm thinking about creating a Youtube channel on virtual machines, for some alternative OS reviews, maybe some ransomware or virus tests. Should I create my channel as an English channel or in my native language (Turkish)? Which will have more potential for views?

 

Guys, help me which to choose, I wasn't able to choose one.

I seriously doubt you will find a big enough audience in Turkish (as you might have guessed I am Turkish) for the content you described. Anyone who is interested in somewhat advanced level programming and hardware pretty much speaks English. Dont get me wrong but our common language speaking viewers are into "dumb shit" rather than actually intelligent stuff. Number of Turkish and English language speakers across the world alone would show that you would have at least 10x more audience speaking English than Turkish.

Thanks a lot for the advice. I also think the same but also, there are a lot of Youtuber who are making videos regarding PC hardware, which can lead my future videos to have less view. But in the same way, there also a lot of people searching for PC hardware-software videos on Youtube as English. I also searching and watching PC hardware related videos as English (like LTT or Techquickie), I rarely watch Turkish PC regarding videos (maybe except Webtekno, which is only for general purposes like reviews).

 

Indeed, our community is not watching Youtube for some intelligent stuff, that's rare.

Dont get discouraged by my words, do whatever you like. A tip, if you want to reach a broader Turkish audience, you have to aim for "kids". There is a significant growth in programming among teens, and those same kids also tend to watch "top 10" videos. All it takes is one video to blow up. Do let me know when you launch your channel.

English with Turkish subs (you can also have different titles and descriptions based on language)

I'd say do it in both, by that I mean make an English and a Turkish version of each video. It will probably help you grow faster.
