Can i use USB Audio Adapter only for 3.5mm Mic

winner9

I got these headphones, if I plug them in over USB I hear static noise but microphone is crystal clear, if I plug them in over 3.5mm jack I don't get any static in the headphones but now the microphone does. So my question is can I plug 3.5mm AUDIO to computer and plug 3.5mm MIC to this USB adapter(https://www.amazon.com/Plugable-Headphone-Microphone-Aluminum-Compatible/dp/B00NMXY2MO) Would this even work? Will the the mic be free from static noise?

Those cheap USB adapters are usually low quality. You'll probably have some static or you'll have a hard time controlling the boost  and volume of the microphone.

To answer your question, yes, I don't see why not. You can plug such an audio card and it simply shows as separate sound card, then you can right click on speakers and select Default playback device to keep the old sound card as the one that plays content and on which games will output sound.

You can manually configure the microphone input from various programs (Discord, games etc)... you may have to select the other sound card in games and applications to have the microphone working.

A different sound card may not help you that much. It could be just a side effect of the headphones cable being cheap, not properly insulated.... as it sits between your head and the computer, the cable could behave like an antenna and pick up radiation/noise emanated by your computer (cpu and video card make noise)

If you insist on a sound card, at least buy something with some minimum amount of quality, like this for example: https://www.newegg.com/creative-sound-blaster-play-3/p/N82E16829102100

You also have free pci-e x1 slots, so you also buy a pci-e x1 card and put it in the lowest pci-e slot, far away from your video card and everything.

For example, here's some good sound cards:
