Help Upgrading my old AMD FX 4300 PC

Hello I am looking for help to upgrade my current pc to a ryzen CPU, I could use recomindazations on which CPU to get. I am looking mostly for gaming but also want quick and fast proccesing for general use and productivity. I am not looking to spend alot of money but I would rather spend alittle bit more to get better preformance. I am not supper expericed with builds but I would like to say I know enough. Any tips to boost prefromance or how to properly install the upgrades would be greatly appreciated! (I understand that I would also have to get a new motherboard to get a new CPU). Thanks to anybody for the help! Also located in the US

 

Currently my build is

CPU: FX 4300 (4 cores, 3.8GHz, and 8 MB total cache)

Motherboard: 78LMT-USB3 (Socket AM3+)

GPU: Radeon RX 560

Storage: HD 1T Seagate

RAM: 16 GB of Kingston RAM

If you get a new ryzen you’ll also need a new AM4 board. I also believe any new ryzen will bottleneck a 560.

What psu do you have?

 

Added cheap ssd for windows and primary games.

Added good ram for the ryzen.

You have rx560 put you can upgrade it later, main thing here is to upgrade that cpu

I am located in the USA I am would moslty be using this for gaming, but also a little bit of school work/listening to music. The maximum budget is $500 but not worried about going a little bit over. And here is a picture of my power supply.

Could not find any info about your psu, so i think its not that good.

That corsair psu is pretty good, so you should get that one.

Well do not use that psu. Do you need help building you pc and transferring your windows to that faster ssd, so it will boot in just 10 seconds?

For that cpu (since your cpu will be good) id suggest you to buy radeon rx 5700/5700 XT. or anything better than 1660 super
