NHU 12S on ryzen 3600x

javamaster10000

Hey there, I just upgraded to a ryzen 5 3600x, and am a little worried about my temps.

I am basically running the CPU stock, and getting idle temps of about 40°C and load temps in AIDA 64 of about 78°C.

Are these temps expected, or did I mess up the thermal paste application? (used Arctic MX-4)

My case is a Corsair Air 540, so ventilation is pretty good.

Thank you for your answers :D

Are you getting stock frequencies? If PBO is making your CPU operate faster then the higher temps make sense

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I attached a screenshot of Ryzen master to this post.

I should mention, that tha fans are pretty low when ideling. If I push them to 100% manually, I get about 35°C while Ideling.

i hava a 2600x which has about the same tdp. i have similar temps. ⁓40 idle, ⁓72 in cinebench. room is about 19-21 degrees. my cooling setup: i use a noctua nhu 12s, and 2 in/1out low rpm fans. the cpu fan also plugged onto the low noise adaptor, set to 20% until 60 deg, and  full on 85deg. all voltage is on auto, i only overclock the ram to 3200.

Do you use the low noise adaptor? If so, then remove that and run higher RPM.
