Selling or just pre-orders? I'm interested in the RX 5500 for a new PC build for a friend of mine, if it's true it's RX 580 performance for GTX 1650 wattage at around $150 price point.

Buy one and get to benchmarking, if you can push content out before anyone else you get internet points.

No more time , In 3 days AIB cards come out or next monday! So Maybe next Time i will do my own benching and Review!! Well there are already Youtubers that are benching this daily... It's bit better than 1650 super and worse than 1660 super. But it seems price will be at 166 euros or 180 $ dollars (compared to 200-250$ 1660 super) (190-200$ 1650 super) which is pretty good budget option for gaming. I think AMD will hit NVIDIA hard with this.

The first PC is a pretty darn good deal. I specced a similar PC with an RX 580 for 560 Euro. And that doesn't include Windows, a Wifi card, a keyboard and

mouse, SD card reader...

EDIT: The case doesn' seem to have any holes though! Well... just a few tiny holes on the side. I don't expect much from the cooling. But it looks nice. I'm so tired of aggressive vents, RGB, and side windows.

If this is a reality, I assume there will be a 5600 'mid grade' option roughly equivalent to a RX590 but less powerful than the current 5700...sounds perfect for a more modern midgrade upgrade from a RX 570. I'm looking to upgrade in the next year or so and keep it at or below $200. I'm not a huge gamer and don't need the latest and greatest (I only have a 1080 monitor anyways), mainly I'd like a card that can more consistently maintain 90 fps frame rates on medium settings for VR gaming. My overclocked RX 570 works pretty well, but really struggles to keep the frame rates at 90 fps in VR with anything but low settings.

Very odd configuration

* You get a cpu with integrated graphics AND separate graphics.

* I think you still get only 8 pci-e lanes in the pci-e x16 slot, when you're using a cpu with integrated graphics, so you're further choking the 5500 card.

* only one memory stick at 2666 Mhz so you lose some performance by running in single channel, motherboard has 2 slots and can do up to 2 x 16 3200 Mhz

* only 4 usb 3.0 (5g) ports for the front case

*Very spartan on the back IO shield :

* only 4 USB 2.0 ports, NO usb 3.0 (5g) or 10g usb ports

* vga and hdmi 1.4b (max 4K 30 Hz ? - i think this is a mistake and it's hdmi 2.0, 4K 60 Hz because it continues to say hdcp 2.2 which is in later versions)

* edit : only 65w TDP cpus listed so probably cheap vrm without heatsinks, not recommended for 3900x or higher

psu is 400w but it's platinum efficiency, so it's not an issue.

But... it's really not worth it at 699 euro.

Sorry, but it's not a good deal.

The 3400g has less performance than a Ryzen 1600, not to mention the 2600. You can do something better (more connectors on the io shield, more memory slots etc, here's example:

I'm assuming the 5500 will have about the same performance or less than GTX 1660 Super. The cpu is around 10-20% faster than 3400g and gives all 16 pci-e lanes to the video card. The 550 chipset doesn't have pci-e 4.0 anyway.

The motherboard gives you 4 usb 3.0 5g ports in the back AND a usb type-c.... and 4 memory slots and so on....

Ok, you also get Windows 10 in the price, but that's about the only difference.

If you go for a Ryzen 1600 that should be around 100 euro, you have 20 euro for a keyboard and some card reader or something.

edit: specs for base HP model from here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-m01-f0000-desktop-pc-series/29014486/model/31331193/document/c06476253

MB code : Erica (SSID 8643) ... sadly no pics available

i suppose specs could be incomplete if hdmi spec is wrong but looks to mr likr it's more or less a320 chipset replacement, not B450

Maybe will have 560 instead of b450

I think the 699 euro is only a good deal because of the Ryzen 5 3400 and RX 5500 + B550A, tho the rest in it is kinda crap. However the 3700x (320 euros) with B550 ( 100 euros)

(RX 5500 assuming 180 euros)  thats still 600 euros if you buy these componenets seperate... so the extra 300 euro for 16gb 2666 mhz and 512gb m.2  + power supply is actually quite decent, Only ofc USB ports, hdmi , PSU and Case kinda suck   ?? .

-snip-

It's for people who want get their hands on a  Rx 5500 and B550A earlier or if they are Going for a new Build and a budget Gaming PC... I didn't ever claim those systems were  best for the Price /Perform. Im saying its quite good compared to retailers that ask 900 + euro for such systems. I do agree they should have gone with 8gb 3200 or 3000 and 16 gb  3200  or 3000  and 500-550 watt PSU's.

Those are all just pre-builds. What would be point of paying extra for parts that you don't need, will have hard time re-selling after you have cannibalized part you want and possibility have motherboards with propitiatory mounting for case, PSU and coolers?

Also, not the first time some parts only come available for prebuilds or laptops instead for builders.

Never Mind Rx 5500 4gb an 8 gb are out now so... Also this Desktops if you can get em second hand in a year its a great bargain!   I am calling Linus a NVIDIA shill now! since he still hasn't done a review of 5500XT , it's a great budget card that's competing with 1650... Next year one will be even better....
