Gaming mice act erratically on Linux

Hey guys, just set my computer back up after a move and got it all up and working but for some reason now - for any gaming mouse I try - the mouse movements are erratic and sluggish. I tried every USB port and 2 different mice: Corsair Scimitar Pro (My daily driver) and Cooler Master MM830. When i plugged in a basic wireless mouse, it worked perfectly. What could be causing this?

Edit: This only started happening after installing bcmwl-kernel-source for my wifi card

Do you have any other wired gaming mice to try out? Other than that, I really don't know (laptop user), sorry.

Good luck!

It could be something to do with the USB polling rate being too high and becoming unstable. Try lowering the USB polling rate.
