i was about to say. i get even worse performance in prime95 now. only 4.3 ghz but much much higher temps. thats NOT ideal... at all

It must be replaced or returned,

If you can use the warranty to get a new CPU then that's what i would recommend.

the seller insists i should update my xmp profiles. how do i do that and why would that resolve this issue?

Seems like to seller wants to pass the blame for something else.

Tell him it worked perfectly fine with your 8600K.

You are correct, default settings with XMP disables should always work.

Set CPU clock multiplier to smth like 40x and vCore to like 1.2V, this should be lower than defaults, if that helps then it's definitely a CPU (i assure you it is ever without doing that, your other parts were worked perfectly with previous CPU). As of event viewer, you're looking for a warning level, not information.

The seller will start the reclamation process so hopefully I will get a replacement from. I don't think I'm gonna chance voltages again. I had crashes with all setups

i had two new crashes with the new bioss installed and 1,25v with turbo on. could you maybe take a look at them and see if they tell us something? if its still basically the hardware i will return it to intel

Honestly I'd just get a replacement, if the CPU is already degraded like this it won't get any better longterm even if more voltages fixes it temporarily, you can only do so much voltage...

I was able to game and use my pc for several hours now without it crashing using 1.3v. I'm still gonna use the warranty and send in to Intel. Running it with high fan usage and higher temps is not what I want. At least I know if Intel refuses to replace it

another kind if shutdown occured without the bsod.. seems like something different caused the error this time.... not sure if it was cpu related. i attached the dmp file.

is it possible that my 550w staright power 11 psu isnt enough to keep up with high usage spikes with my 2060 super and the i7 8700k on 1,25v?.. it shouldnt right?

It's DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION, another hardware related error. No, SP11 550W should be good for RTX2060S & i7 8700k (if it isn't faulty). It's multiral unit in fact, it's very hard to trip it if you don't have multiple GPUs running from one PCIe cable.

So I guess my pc just falls apart bit by bit... Gonna trouble shoot the error. No idea what else could be failing now
