31.5 inch monitor viewing distance?

Hey guys,just want to ask if around one feet viewing distance from 31.5 inch monitor is uncomfortable for gaming/browsing etc?

 

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with,and even if you think I'm rude or not polite,forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

Are you blind?

 

Increase the resolution or enlarge the fonts.

 

It's too close, as you have to turn your head/eyes too much to see the sides at only 12 inches away.

ooh why the hell do they make them anyway?What is the minimum distance for it?

So it's not for me?My chair is like around 1 meter distance from my monitor,I mean a place where I hold current one.

I mean I don't understand,how can someone use monitor on a table from 2-3 meters?

About 1.5x the diagonal should be a good position at that resolution.

Minimum distance is like 1.5 feet or further.  Go put your face 1 foot from your TV at home, how is that?

 

1 meter is good for a 32" monitor, if you can see the text fine.

I haven't bought it,I'm planing to buy it,but my distance is around 1m max,so I'm not so sure if I'll buy it or not,that is why I ask here.

sorry,my distance is around 70 cm from my monitor currently,which is 25 inches uw.

So if I buy 32 inches,would be too big,watching from same distance,right?

Hmmm,maybe headaches?
I don't know my friend ,32 inches viewing from 70 cm,not sure,seems to me I might have some unpleasant side effects.

I mean I know that watching 32 inches TV you have to be at least 2 m away from TV.
Maybe I'm wrong who knows..

it's around lets say 50 inches which is 125cm.

1x to 1.25x the screen size for monitors is usually a good bet.

 

For TV's its 1.5x to 2x for use as a TV.

 

(measured from Screen surface to eyes)

 

Its different due to the use case.

Displays used for PC work have to display small text, text far to small to be readable at a distance u would normal sit from a TV in ur front room.

As such even if ur using a TV as a monitor, ull have to sit closer, which is fine. U still use a good rule of thumb of 1 to 1.25x for usage as a Monitor (whether its an actual monitor or a TV)

For use as a TV , be it a small 32" display ..or a large 55" one, the content wont ever be displaying super small details like very small text, in case where text needs to be readable in a TV show or movie the camera pans in up close for a reason. As such 1.5x to 2x the display size is fine.
