MiniITX embedded motherboard

2 cores 3rd gen intel i5 mobile segment cpu (no ECC support)

6gigs ram 

small miniitx embedded chassis manufactured by supermicro

Not sure what I'd do with that... it might be enough for a home firewall if you can put a 2-4 port 1Gbit or 10Gbit NIC in there.

depends... I've been looking into setting up PFsense at home and it sounds like if you have a bunch of 'plugins' / addon packages running it can eventually add up to a bit of CPU utilization.

 

Also wanted to do that because when I turn on QoS on my router, it pegs all 4 cores so much that internet traffic slows down.
