Low profile single slot GPU options?

Just now, porina said:

This looks very promising, thanks. Used, they're about half the price of a 710.

In a quick look the ones I've managed to find all seem to be DP+DVI so not ideal. They could be adapted in a pinch so I'd keep this as a reserve solution.

The problem with the 210 is age. Hardware acceleration doesn't really work on it so that kinda sucks. I've looked a bit more and thus far i've found these options:

Gt 610
Gt 630
Hd 7450
Hd 7570

Hd 8450 (same as a 7450 it seems)
R7 240

There's a few systems I have which are still built in VGA era and I'd like to get them to HDMI at minimum. They can take low profile single slot cards, I just need to find more.

One already runs some kinda of Quadro NVS which has dual DVI out, which I can adapt to HDMI but it is a bit messy that way. Hoping for a one stop solution. In a quick look, the GT 710 might do it,but it is more than I'd like to pay if there is anything cheaper I can get by going older.

In this category I don't care at all about gaming performance. It just needs to be able to output 1080p60 desktop as minimum.

the GT 210 even has HDMI and comes in the right form factor

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k (won) - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Kill Trident Z RGB - Force MP500 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - The venerated Hyper 212 Evo (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G2 650W - Black and green theme, Razer branwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Linux Proliant ML150 G6:

Dual Xeon X5560 - 24GB ECC DDR3 - GTX 750 TI - old Seagate 1.5TB HDD - Dark moded Ubuntu (and Win7, cuz why not)

EVGA G3 thread, BR/BT threadSeasonic Focus thread, S12II/M12II thread, Userbenchmark (Et al.) is trash explained, PSU misconceptions

You can usually get hd 6450's and hd 5450's for below 10$ used and those normally either come with a dp port + dvi or hdmi + dvi.

I have a GTX 260 in another system already... seems to do ok if that counts as same generation as the GT210? Bit power hungry though.

GT 610 - looks like it would do too

GT 630 - limited choice, price creeping up

HD 7450 - we're back to DP again...

HD 7570 - not widely available

HD 8450 - comes up as a CPU on ebay

R7 240 - high price

Since I only need 2 or 3 at most, I think I can make it up with GT 610 and if needed GT 210. Getting a DVI to HDMI adapter for the AMD models would make them more expensive.

display port to HDMI adapters are really cheap

It's not zero though, and the nvidia cards are price similarly to the listed AMD ones without the need of such. Plus I don't have another thing sticking out.

I have some of these already but it is not something I want to use if avoidable.

these are $10 each. $8.50 if you buy 4 or more. probably less if you make an offer. Which Nvidia cards are you seeing for the same price?

US pricing is irrelevant to me. Try doing the same on ebay.co.uk
