Does this look like good coverage ?

Hey! 
 

so I’m cleaning my computer and desired to take my CPU off to add new paste. 
But I noticed some spilled off the side? 
I have the cooler master air cooler and find it so hard to put on. So I guess it might have twisted a bit. 
But does this look like a normal application ? 
Looks a little dry in the middle. 
Don’t think I’ve had a cooling issue though.

This is "too much" coverage. Normally paste doesn't spill over the sides as much. But its ok to have too much than too little.

hmm okay, I think I just did the pea size thing in the middle. Should the middle be worrying that there is much much on it? The top of the cooler has some in the middle.

No. You don't have to worry about having too much paste. Its not going to hurt cooling performance because mounting mechanics on coolers will squeeze excess paste.
