Hey Guys,

I was wondering if it will be worth it to attach 2*cpu's to 1*240mm radiator?

Because I have it laying around and when buying a rack case, there is literally no case that has place for 2*240mm radiators.

Otherwise I need to get myself 2*120mm closed loop cpu coolers. which could work out too.

if you were to use a fast enough pump and fans, I'd bet even a thick 120 rad could do the job.

Hey Guys,

It would be basically the same as 2 120mm radiators, but why not just go with air cooling for reliability?

You can get pretty cheap air coolers that will be fine.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Okay cool! I am working with a X9DRL-iF from supermicro

This is just a pic from the internet, but the cpu's are so tightly packed that a normal cooler won't fit well.

so normal case fans aren't performing well I guess.

Do you have a recommendation for a cooling solution fitting on there?

Server coolers most likely, something like this, of course the fan is going to be extremely loud.

Would 2 120mm air coolers not fit? How much vertical space are you going to have? It's not like it exactly needs to go into a rack case

It was more like next so close together.

I was looking at the Arctic Freezer 34 which costs me 17,79 euros which is pretty cheap.

I want to cram it in a 4U case or maybe 3U

I don't know if that board has "square" or "narrow" mounting holes

but there's plenty of 4U coolers, assuming you could even mount them there's a lot of cheap dual tower 92mm coolers around as well.

Wow, those are really expensive where I'm from. that's like 112 euros in total.

Those artic freezer coolers will fit on the exact spot, and will fit together.

The noctua nh u9dx i4 won't fit next to eachother on the board.

Thanks! idk how fast my 120mm fans are.

Still exploring options, will go for cheap

as far as i know there's very little price difference between cheap large and small radiators.
By "fast" I meant 2000 rpm or higher.
