iPhone X Face ID fails after battery replacement

Hello, I just did a battery swap using ifixits guide but for some reason Face ID won't scan anymore but the camera works. I didn't even touch it during the repair so do you guys know what happened? Front camera still works but dot projector isn't shooting anything out

Do you still have the old battery? Not that it should matter. Reconnect the old battery and see what happens. You should also unplug and plug all the flex cables back in and ensure they are all making proper contact. 

 

Be sure that you did not damage the flex cables of the FaceID sensor array. If you did damage anything, in order to get FaceID working again you will have to take it into an Apple store.
