Upgraded hardware, now games crash.

First of all, this is my first forum post here so please notify me if I am missing anything or go against the rules in anyway! I've been a long time fan of LTT and it's awesome to dive into the community with my issues.

I recently upgraded my computer by replacing the Motherboard, CPU, and RAM and now I'm experiencing some issues. Whenever I go to play a game the computer will crash when demand ramp up. Lets take Madden for instance... it's just fine on the menus but once I click to load a game the computer will go to a black screen and reboot. No BSOD or error codes. Event viewer doesn't show anything either, just that the computer recovered from an unexpected shutdown.

My new computer:

X570-A Pro

Ryzen 5 3600

Vengeance 16 GB DDR4 3200 MHz

STRIX ASUS Radeon RX Vega 64 8GB (From old rig)

Corsair CX750M PSU (From old rig)

500 GB Samsung SSD (From old rig)

1 TB Seagate HDD (From old rig)

I attempted to replicate the issues outside of games by running tests. I capped out my CPU and GPU using OCCT and I ran Windows Memory Diagnostic.

Both of these tests found no errors and I could not replicate the issue.

Few more notes:

Everything is factory settings, there is no overclocking

I reloaded Windows 10

Everything is running current manufacturer drivers

I reapplied thermal paste to CPU (I am running AMD factory cooler) Heat seems pretty normal, usually maxing out at 80c under load.

Cinebench complete without issues

OCCT Tests for GPU and CPU ran for 30 minutes

This is my first time with a MSI Motherboard and AMD processor.

Does anyone have any troubleshooting recommendations to help me narrow down to the trouble part?

Excellent.

And all drivers and BIOS are the latest?

Did you install RAM into DIMM slots A2 and B2?

Yes, I have the most updated manufacturer drivers.

However, I do not recall finding anything as far as a BIOs update from MSI. Just Chipset and misc drivers from the support page linked below

Yes, RAM sticks are installed into the correct "First" slots

I want to mention, even though they are 3200 MHz they are running at factory settings

Oh my god. I just noticed a "BIOS" tab. I feel like a fool...... I will check BIOs settings when I get home from work and update this thread

Yes, the BIOS may be the culprit.

But back to RAM . . . your mention of "first" slots gives me pause.  The slots should be (counting from the CPU socket to away) the second and fourth slots.  Is that what you meant?

Yes! The board indicates them as "First" slots

Thanks for double checking me and all the replies :)

I'm disappointed to announce the bios update did not help.

I ran more test and after a minute of furmark gpu stress test I was able to replicate it. Meaning its my greatest fear .. my Vega 64 :(

I updated the drivers for it but it's still happening. Any troubleshooting ideas I could do?

Have you tried pulling it and cleaning the contacts and also reseating the power cables in the PSU and GPU?

It was the PSU. I went from a 750 bronze to a 750 gold and it took care of everything! Cheers! Thanks for all you help Nick name!

Ayyyyy glad you got it sorted!

What was the old PSU?  So people know what to stay away from.
