WOL with a third party network card

Swift-R

I'm thinking on purchasing this QXG-10G1T 10Gbase-T network card. If I connect it to an ASUS motherboard, say, the Prime X570-Pro, will the WOL function work?

My confusion is because of that "Power On By WOL" option in the BIOS. Does it enable the feature for the board's LAN adapter only? Or I got this completely wrong?

See if your board has an option to enable wake by PCIe. If it does not have the option at all, then it could be tied to the same WOL option, or might just be enabled all the time, the board most likely supports it.

I actually have an Prime X470-Pro and can say I am able to use WWOL with my Intel AX200. I can't recall exactly what BIOS setting I changed, but I can tell you it works.

I think that the BIOS option allows any network adapter to wake up the computer, just make sure it is enabled in the os (you might have to enable it for each adapter) and that you are sending the mac address of the other adapter when waking it up.

BUT I am not sure
