ASUS Strix GTX 1060 or something else

SilverJoker

I want to get a new graphics card for either Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or Christmas, and I was thinking about getting the Asus Strix GTX 1060.

Now since I don't know all that much about GPUs, are there better ones around this price point or cheaper? Is the GTX 1060 even worth it nowadays? Any other choices that you guys recommend?

Are there cheaper more powerful cards available?

Thank you!

Since the 1060 is last gen, the prices are all wrong. $200 gets you a 1070 from eBay, and the $260 can get you a nice 1660 super model.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Do not buy a 1060, I have a 6gb one and it's already bad for 1080p gaming in new titles.

My Current Setup:

AMD Ryzen 5900X

Kingston HyperX Fury 3200mhz 2x16GB

MSI B450 Gaming Plus

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

EVGA RTX 3060 Ti XC

Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB

WD 5400RPM 2TB

EVGA G3 750W

Corsair Carbide 300R

Arctic Fans 140mm x4 120mm x 1
