Currently looking to get a monitor because I’m in my first year of owning a pc, and I’m currently borrowing one from a family member. I was looking at two in particular, the ASUS pg279q and the pg279qz. I’ve seen the qz has worse contrast and brightness, and I’ve also seen the price for the q come down to the price of the qz a few times before. Was wondering people’s thoughts and if it is still a good option for me in 2019?

Pc Specs

Cpu: Ryzen 2700x

Gpu: Nvidia Gtx 1070 ti not OCed

Memory: 16 gb gskill

storage: 500 gb ssd

Are you asking if 27" 1440p 165hz Gsync is a good Choice...in..2019?

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

No, Im pretty sure that is what I want spec wise. I was just wondering if my pc is good enough to take advantage of its capabilities and weather the q or the qz is a smarter option.

1. Yes your PC is good enough and with Gsync you wont have to reach 144fps to feel the superior Gsync Experience

2. IPS looks better than TN, so i would go for the QZ.

3. If you come from 23,5/24" 1080p TN, be prepared for a jawdropping Experience.
